Photofacial Richardson, TX

At Premier Med Spa we use the Spectrum Laser to perform some of the highest quality IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments in the DFW Metroplex. Also referred to as photofacial, IPL technology provides a non-invasive treatment option for a variety of conditions and applications. With minimal discomfort and no downtime, the photofacial is easy to work into your busy schedule!
Intense pulsed light, or IPL, is used to treat a wide range of conditions. The Spectrum’s IPL handpiece allows us to treat:

  • Age spots
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Sun damage
  • Burst capillaries
  • Freckles
  • Birthmarks
  • Fine wrinkles

The photofacial is ideal for treatment on the face, neck, shoulders, back, and hands and more. While those areas are most common, any area of the body is safe to be treated. Areas that see increased sunlight and are at a greater risk of showing signs of sun damage or hyperpigmentation can benefit from this treatment.

FAQ'S

A photofacial is ideal for individuals with aging skin, sun damage, acne scars, freckles, burst capillaries, or fine wrinkles. It works best for those looking for a non-invasive solution to improve skin tone and texture on the face, neck, shoulders, and hands.

Results typically begin to appear after the first treatment, but optimal results usually occur after about three to five treatments. Eventually, your skin will improve as collagen production is stimulated.

When properly cared for and protected from the sun, the results of a photofacial can last for several months to a year. It may be necessary to perform periodic maintenance treatments to maintain the benefits.

There is no downtime, allowing you to resume your daily activities immediately. Mild redness or darkening of treated spots may occur, but this typically fades within a few hours to a few days.

Before the treatment, avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks. After the treatment, protect the treated areas with a sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight to prevent irritation and maintain results.

During the photofacial, light pulses are applied to the targeted areas, causing a mild snapping sensation. The session typically lasts 20 to 45 minutes, and while it’s generally comfortable, a cooling gel can be applied to improve comfort.
