At Premier Med Spa we harness the power of intense pulsed light (IPL) with the use of the Cutera XEO laser. This laser makes it possible for our medical clinicians to provide the highest quality photofacial in the DFW metroplex. Our Cutera XEO laser provides non-invasive light therapy in sessions of thirty to ninety minutes based upon treatment size and area. With minimal discomfort and no downtime, the photofacial is easy to work into a busy schedule being able to work into a lunch break or an afternoon!
The Cutera XEO laser works by emitting light waves toward the skin, as the skin absorbs the light, your body’s hemoglobin or red blood cells and melanin soak in the light waves. This laser intentionally causes the red blood cells and melanin to break down forcing a controlled microtrauma and letting your body absorb the dead cellular components forcing your skin into an organic healing phase decreasing the overall look of hyperpigmentation and sun damage with overall improvements in circular and collagen production revealing a smoother, glowing complexion.
During the photofacial, our staff will first protect your skin with a cooling gel and dark glasses to protect your eyes from the light of the laser, then our clinician will use the handheld Cutera XEO laser across your skin and the treatment area directing the pulses of light at the required areas. The photofacial is ideal for treatment on the face, neck, shoulders, back, and hands. While these areas are most common, any area of the body is safe to be treated with areas that see increased sunlight and at greater risk of showing signs of sun damage or hyperpigmentation most beneficial for this laser treatment. The photofacial is the go-to treatment for removing hyperpigmentation, brown spots, and redness with added anti-aging benefits for fine lines and wrinkles, spider veins, and freckles allowing us to harness the versatility of the Cutera XEO laser for all of our client’s needs.
