Right after your facial; your skin will radiate a healthy glow.
2-3 days after your facial; your skin is feeling hydrated and awake, as circulation has been
stimulated.
2 weeks later; skin cells begin to regenerate and longer-term effects kick in.
4 weeks later; time for your next facial!
How often do I need to get one?
If you are looking to achieve a smoother skin texture, brighter, firmer, more vibrant skin with fewer breakouts, you should seek to get a facial once a month. This will allow for fewer breakouts, and for you to stay on top of skin concerns that pop up seasonally.
With the fall season now in full swing, you may turn on the heat in your house for the first time in months. Indoor heating is known to dehydrate the skin, and a facial can correct that serious lack of moisture! A facial will exfoliate away dull surface skin cells, allowing for quality hydrating serums to penetrate deeply and fight the dryness that can cause signs of premature aging and breakouts.
Extractions, for professionals only!
Facials are great to relax and achieve a deep clean. If you have clogged pores or breakouts, your esthetician may perform some extractions. We strongly discourage picking, scratching, or attempting to pop pimples at home. If done incorrectly, you can irritate your pores, introduce more bacteria to the skin, and even give yourself a scar. An esthetician knows what angle and how much pressure to use to clear out pores in a clean environment. They don’t get emotionally attached to a pimple. If it’s not ready, it’s not ready. That is why regular facials with your skincare professional are important to keep you on track, and from trying to take matters into your own hands
Make Your Results Last
Our estheticians tell us that it is also extremely important that you are using the right skincare regimen for yourself at home. (Just because you go to the dentist for a cleaning doesn’t mean you don’t brush and floss!) Having the right cleanser and moisturizer, and using them in a routine is going to protect your investment in facials. Your results from your facial aren’t going to last if you sleep with your makeup on! No matter if you have oily, dry, or combination skin, everyone can benefit from monthly meetings with a skincare guru, to guide you to the products and practices that are best for your skin.
